10.1,10.2,12.1,12.2,12.3 Interactive videos

After watching 10.1 I was able to understand the importance of language and using it in presentations. Having pronouns such as "we, us" and avoiding inclusive pronouns will make the audience feel more apart of the presentation as though you are talking to them like a friend. Humor can also help alleviate the atmosphere and make the audience feel more comfortable in class. I think that by including the audience and making them feel more apart of the speech is essential to any presentation.

Video 10.2 was tailored more towards language and wording. In having words that portray confidence and avoid any biased perspective. Wording is key. One of the most vital tips in the video was making sure to not get to attached to words. I feel that I do get attached to words that are comfortable. Being able to vary in diction will make speeches seem less ambiguous and more concise.

12.1,12.2, and 12.3-Video 12.1 gave two different demonstrations that helped in remembering to keep your pitch and volume at a good rate. It showed how to avoid long pauses that could make audiences feel uncomfortable in any setting With both examples I was able to see what types of projections are key and what things i should avoid when using loudness as well as tone. In video 12.2 it makes five points of how important body language, voice projection and eye contact are. It stresses the important of eye contact on how keeping eye contact . I think that in order to make sure that you maintain eye contact you have to feel comfortable. Gestures should not be awkward but should be used. I think that gestures make a speech more personal, however. Posture and gestures should elude that you are confident and interested in your speech. The last video gave great tips that will help with memorizing my speech. I think being prepared is vital! I cant wait to use the tips that I have learned by watching video 12.3.
